Pediatric kidney care when you need it

Our nephrologists diagnose and treat kidney disorders in infants, children and teens. We are committed to high-quality care, so your kid can focus on being a kid.

Pediatric nephrologists

We believe in treating kids like kids, not "young adults" or "little adults." We strive to make sure your child feels comfortable, and we work hard to help them understand their current health. Every child has different kidney care needs, so we perform a thorough evaluation before developing a personalized treatment plan.

We believe in providing your child with the most comprehensive care possible. Through our partnership with HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's, we can offer additional pediatric kidney treatment at their facility.

How to schedule an appointment

To ensure that you and your child can be seen in a timely manner by the exact type of specialist you are looking for, a physician's referral is typically necessary. Additional authorization from your insurance company may be required, so please check with them ahead of your appointment. If it is required, please contact your primary care physician before your appointment so they can provide the proper authorization.

Appointments at our location are available four days per month. If you would like to make an appointment, please call us at (303) 301-9010.

What to bring to your appointment

In order to make your visit run as smoothly as possible, there are a few key items that you will need to bring. These include:

  • Current medications
  • Insurance card and co-payment
  • Records from your child's visits to the primary care physician, emergency room and other specialists, as well as previous hospitalizations or surgeries related to their condition
  • Referral from your primary care physician
  • Relevant tests results, including computerized tomography (CT) scans, kidney ultrasounds, voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) scan, renal scans, as well as blood tests and urine tests

When to arrive for your appointment

If this is your first visit, please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to fill out all pertinent paperwork. If you download the required forms and complete them before the appointment, please arrive 15 minutes early so we can verify the information and collect your co-payment. The information on these forms is critical to your child's evaluation, so we strongly recommend you fill them out beforehand so your time with our providers can be as productive as possible.

For follow-up visits, please arrive 15 minutes early to allow enough time to verify any changes in your information, as well as collect your co-payment.

What to expect during your visit

You will always meet with a doctor during your visit, and you will have about 45 to 60 minutes with them during your first visit. For this first appointment, we schedule extra time to get to know your child and begin to fully understand their current level of health, which will help inform treatment moving forward.
