Women's health services we offer

Our skilled specialists excel at providing medical care that's tailored to your unique needs as a woman. We offer a variety of services to help you feel empowered and educated.

Breast surgery

A focus on minimally invasive procedures, dedication to advanced technology and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of specialists allows us to offer comprehensive breast care services. We provide compassionate care while treating both benign and complex conditions, including breast cysts and breast cancer.  Often, our skilled surgeons can perform breast reconstruction during the same procedure we're doing to remove a cancerous lump. This ability negates the need for subsequent surgeries.

Gynecological care

Gynecologists diagnose and treat conditions that can affect your reproductive system. We take a holistic approach to gynecological care that considers your emotional and physical well-being. We provide both routine treatments and advanced procedures for more complex conditions.

The services we offer include:

  • Annual well-woman, pap smear, breast and pelvic exams
  • Birth control counseling and management
  • Endometrial ablation
  • Genetic screenings to determine your risk of getting cancer
  • Loop electrode excisional procedure (LEEP)
  • Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS)
  • Routine immunizations, including the flu shot and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing

Gynecological cancer care

One of our specialties is treating women's cancers. We provide compassionate care and use proven treatments for gynecological cancers, including vulvar, vaginal, cervical, ovarian, uterine, tubal and peritoneal cancer. We're also committed to applying a high standard of care in complex gynecological surgeries and using advanced technologies.

Urogynecological care

The field of urogynecological medicine is an emerging discipline designed to provide you with treatment for pelvic floor disorders. Conditions that can affect your pelvic floor include bladder issues, fecal or bowel issues and pelvic organ prolapse.

Obstetrics care

The specialty of obstetrics encompasses all aspects of your reproductive health before, during and after pregnancy. This includes contraceptives, prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care and infertility. Our obstetricians are qualified to give you recommendations on exercising during pregnancy, advice on your postpartum birth control options and counseling on your fertility treatment options.

Obstetrics services we offer include:

  • 3D ultrasound
  • Birth plan options exploration
  • Cesarean delivery by choice
  • Family planning and preconception counseling
  • Genetic screening
  • Postpartum care
  • Pregnancy education
  • Prenatal care
  • Tubal occlusion or laparoscopic tubal ligation
  • Unmedicated childbirth
  • Vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC)

When the time comes for you to give birth, we're ready to care for mom and baby with a full suite of labor and delivery services at our affiliated hospitals.

Infertility care

We aim to make the process of conceiving one that is filled with hopeful advice and understanding. If you suspect you're having an issue with fertility, our women's health specialists are ready to listen and create a personalized fertility treatment plan. Our fertility counseling and treatments are available at our OB/GYN practices.

Midwifery services

Our certified nurse midwives (CNMs) are trained to offer care during pregnancy, childbirth and after childbirth. We're highly qualified to assist in hospital births, cesarean births and unmedicated births. Our CNMs also help provide gynecologic services like pelvic exams and sharing birth control advice.

Heart care

Heart health is an often overlooked area of women's health — but it's one of our top priorities. Heart disease, which includes coronary artery disease and heart attacks, is the number one cause of death in women. It's responsible for killing one in five women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Our skilled cardiac care providers know the heart attack warning signs that are unique to women and can help provide preventive services to care for your heart health.

Symptoms of a heart attack in women

Chest pain is the most common symptom of a heart attack for both men and women, but women are more likely to experience other symptoms, as well. Symptoms you might experience during a cardiac event include:

  • Arm pain (one or both)
  • Back and stomach pain
  • Chest pain or pressure (squeezing or fullness) in the middle of your chest that lasts longer than a few minutes or disappears and returns
  • Dizziness or feeling lightheaded
  • Jaw pain
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Neck pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sudden cold sweating

Minimally invasive and robotic surgery

Our gynecological surgeons have extensive training and experience in minimally invasive gynecological surgery (MIGS) and robotic surgery. Both types of surgery offer many potential benefits including less pain, shorter hospital stays and less scarring.

The MIGS and robot-assisted surgical procedures we offer include:

  • Cervix conization
  • Cystectomy (ovarian cyst removal)
  • Diagnostic laparoscopy
  • Dilation and curettage
  • Endometrial ablation
  • External cephalic versions
  • Fractional CO2 laser for vaginal atrophy and dryness
  • Hysterectomy
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Myomectomy (fibroid surgery)
  • Oophorectomy
  • Removal of scar tissue from prior surgeries
  • Sacrocolpopexy (pelvic prolapse surgery)
  • Salpingo-oophorectomy
  • Tubal ligation ("tube tying")
  • Urinary incontinence surgery
