Procedures performed by our pediatric ENT doctors

We offer a wide range of treatments for children experiencing ENT issues, including:

  • Ear procedures — In addition to performing eardrum perforation repair surgery, our doctors also insert ear tubes, bone-anchored hearing aids and cochlear implants.
  • Larynx procedures — We address voice box issues with laryngeal balloon dilation, widening of the windpipe and the removal of foreign bodies and benign tumors.
  • Neck procedures — Our neck treatments include salivary gland removal, thyroidectomies and the elimination of neck masses and thymic and cleft cysts.
  • Nose procedures — With multiple procedures for the nose, we correct conditions through adenoid gland removal, nasal perforation repair, sinus surgery for chronic infections and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak repair.
  • Pharynx procedures — We operate on the throat by completing procedures that include tonsillectomies, tongue reduction surgery and the removal of excess throat tissue.
  • Trachea procedures — Our doctors aid with problems of the windpipe using tracheal and cricotracheal removal procedures.

Pediatric audiology services we provide

In addition to treatments provided by our pediatric ENTs, our audiologists can also offer evaluation and rehabilitative services for your child, including:

  • Developmentally appropriate behavioral testing
  • Fitting for hearing aids and assistive listening devices (ALDs)
  • Follow-up diagnostic hearing evaluations for infants who did not pass their newborn hearing screening
  • Physiological hearing assessments

Cochlear implants program

Through our cochlear implant program, we specialize in diagnosing, treating and providing follow-up care for your child's hearing loss.

Our team includes two otolaryngologists, Dr. John Bangiyev and Dr. Ryan Mitchell, an audiologist, Brittany James, AuD, CCC-A, and our licensed clinical social worker, Kelcie Scarlett. We also work with a group of talented auditory-verbal therapists at the Listen Foundation.

Physiological auditory testing

We use a variety of physiological assessments to test how well all the parts of your child's ears are working, including:

  • Acoustic reflex decay testing
  • Acoustic reflex threshold testing
  • Auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing
  • Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) testing
  • Tympanometry

Visiting our facility

Our office is located on the campus of HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's, across from HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's in the Rocky Mountain Professional Plaza building.

Parking is available for you in the self-parking garage behind our clinic.

Instructions for first-time visitors

If it is your child's first visit to our office, we ask that you arrive 30 minutes early to complete the paperwork. You can also download, print and complete our forms prior to your appointment. Please bring each of the following to your visit:

  • Completed forms
  • Current insurance card and photo ID
  • List of current medications
  • Recent copy of your child's X-rays and lab results

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice. We make every effort to stay on schedule, although we understand an emergency may arise for you.
