Congenital heart malformations are present at birth or develop shortly afterward. Your baby may have issues, such as heart wall leaks, valve problems or arrhythmias. We offer care tailored to your child, including catheterization, medication or surgery.

CHD services we offer

Our devoted heart care team provides essential diagnostic and treatment services designed to help properly identify and manage symptoms of CHD.

Diagnosing CHD

Our cardiologists have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools, allowing them to produce and assess detailed images of the heart and blood vessels. To detect heart conditions as soon as possible, we perform critical imaging tests, such as:

  • Computerized tomography angiography (CTA)
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

CHD treatments we provide

Depending on the type and severity of the condition, surgery may be necessary to remedy a longstanding heart complication. Our diverse team understands that as you age, your needs change in kind, and our adult cardiac care team works in tandem with pediatric cardiologists and heart surgeons to ensure that you and your family receive the best possible care.

We are able to perform heart procedures that include:

  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Open heart surgery
  • Vascular heart surgery

Whenever possible, we also use minimally invasive surgical techniques, which can provide minimized discomfort, a faster recovery, reduced scarring and a shorter hospital stay.

Critical care units

If you or your child has a potentially life-threatening heart condition, we can provide 24/7 support in our intensive care units (ICUs). Across our facilities, we give you access to the following:

  • Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for newborns
  • Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for children
  • ICU for adults
