Transplant services we provide
Our program supports all methods of organ donation, including altruistic donor, living donor and deceased donor.
Liver care
When you are experiencing liver failure or primary liver cancer, a liver transplant procedure may be the right solution. However, our providers are experts in a range of liver treatments. That means they may recommend a less invasive option first. This may include microwave ablation, radiofrequency ablation or robot-assisted liver resection surgery.
Kidney care
If your kidneys are not working properly, your provider may recommend medication, lifestyle changes or dialysis. When these methods are not the best solution, or do not successfully manage your condition, a kidney transplant may be needed. To support finding the best match, our organ donation solutions include kidney paired donation (KPD). This program pairs willing donors who are not a match to their loved ones with matches in the same situation. When a suitable pair is found, we work closely to coordinate the surgeries and follow up as needed.
Intestinal conditions we treat
In addition to our transplant services, our team includes providers who are highly specialized in treating rare and complex intestinal conditions. Some of these conditions we treat include:
- Autoimmune or congenital enteropathy
- Congenital intestinal anomalies
- Congenital intestinal malrotation
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) (including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and indeterminate colitis)
- Intestinal disease
- Intestinal failure or severe dysfunction
- Mesenteric desmoid tumor
- Motility disorders causing feeding intolerance
- Short bowel syndrome
Intestinal treatments
Our team is experienced in using a variety of treatment methods to resolve or manage a full range of intestinal or gut conditions, such as those listed above. Intestinal rehabilitation treatment plans are created alongside you and your family, with your health history and goals in mind. Our providers are active in research and with related professional organizations, keeping them at the forefront of treatment advancements.
Reduce or eliminate the need for parenteral nutrition or IV fluids
When it becomes appropriate for you to reduce or eliminate the need for intravenous nutrition or fluids, a number of important steps must be taken to ensure your health. Strategic planning and close monitoring are key to the success of these transitions.
